Emergency contact

If something happens out on the route, your first step is always to turn to our marshals. There is medically trained staff at the checkpoints, and from there we can reach you wherever you are on the route. Here’s what to do – and who to call when it’s urgent.

If something happens on the route

If you injure yourself, fall ill or see someone else who needs help, contact the nearest marshal as soon as you can. At the checkpoints there is medically trained staff, and drivers who can take you back to the start if you have to stop.

Keep in mind that a checkpoint closes once everyone has passed it. So never walk back towards a checkpoint if you are injured – it may be gone by the time you reach it. Stay where you are and get in touch instead.

In an emergency

In a life-threatening emergency, always call 112 first.

If it’s urgent but not life-threatening and you can’t reach a marshal, call the march director directly:

Phone: +46 708 302 127 (Jonas Ahlsén, march director)

Minor injuries

Deal with chafing, blisters and other small things yourself, using what you carry in your pack. If it gets worse, or you’re unsure, ask a marshal for advice and help.

Dizzy or unwell

If you feel dizzy or unwell, stop, sit down somewhere safe and rest. Drink properly and eat something light. If you don’t get better, contact a marshal.

If your dog is injured

If you have your dog with you and it gets injured, care for it with what you have brought – we have no equipment for animals. If the injury is serious or you’re unsure, ask a marshal for advice.
